Olympia Artspace Alliance and City of Olympia Collaborate to Expand Art in Storefronts Program

Olympia Artspace Alliance (OAA) and the City of Olympia are delighted to announce their partnership in expanding the highly successful Art in Storefronts program. With the generous support of the City of Olympia and the invaluable assistance from Olympia Downtown Alliance, this initiative aims to further amplify the creative vibrancy of our city while providing paid opportunities for talented Olympia artists.

The Art in Storefronts program has proven to be a resounding success in showcasing local artistic talent and revitalizing vacant storefronts with captivating artworks. Recognizing the immense potential and positive impact of this initiative, the City of Olympia has reached out to Olympia Artspace Alliance to expand and enhance this program even further.

"We're excited to expand this program and pay Olympia artists for their work," said Tracy Jameson, Board President at Olympia Artspace Alliance. "By collaborating with the City of Olympia and receiving support from Olympia Downtown Alliance, we can provide artists with valuable opportunities to exhibit their creations and contribute to the visual tapestry of our community."

Through this expanded collaboration, the Art in Storefronts program will showcase a diverse array of artistic expressions across a wider range of storefronts, attracting attention, foot traffic, and fostering a sense of creative exploration in our city. The initiative not only provides local artists with paid opportunities to display their work but also infuses our streets with cultural richness and inspiration.

The City of Olympia's commitment to supporting the arts and bolstering the local creative economy is reflected in this collaboration. By partnering with Olympia Artspace Alliance and providing funding for the program, the City aims to promote the growth and recognition of Olympia's artistic community, showcasing its incredible talent to residents and visitors alike.
