Calvin Douglass - Riposa In Pace
Calvin Douglass is an Olympia-based haute couture fashion designer who utilizes pre-owned garments, sculpting them into new shapes and embellishing them with painting techniques, but with needle and thread. Manipulating and folding tulle to create shapes and shadows, this collection features portraits and still-lifes sewn directly onto the garment. The artist’s work can be found on Instagram at @calvindouglassoly
Eryn Carlisle - Lost In Awe’s
Lost in Awe’s is your invitation to pause, breathe, and feel quietly amazed to be alive.
Eryn Carlisle is an artist and breast cancer survivor who uses her colorful, awe-filled work to support mental wellness. Lost in Awe’s explores what it means to return to color—to step out of the routine of everyday life and back into a world of wonder, curiosity, and deep presence.
Eryn’s work is rooted in the belief that art isn’t just something we look at—it’s something that can shift our mood, shape our space, and reconnect us with ourselves. Her brand, The Art of Living Vibrant, is her love letter to that philosophy—a celebration of color, curiosity, and the wild-hearted spirit that dares to live fully, freely, and to get Lost in Awe’s.
Ryker Black - Whole in the Hollows
Ryker is a queer, trans, multidisciplinary artist and poet whose practice spans mixed media, photography, painting and digital mediums. He holds a BFA in Graphic Design from MassArt and brings over two decades of professional experience in the field. Ryker’s creative work extends beyond the studio, encompassing community-engaged installations, murals, publications and exhibitions.
His artistic process—centered on layering, subtraction and the interplay of diverse materials—explores transformation as both a visual and emotional experience. Deeply rooted in themes of identity, the trans experience and the human condition, Ryker’s work invites reflection and connection. Through his art, he creates spaces for self-discovery, encouraging viewers to engage with their inner landscapes.
“I believe art truly becomes art when it is shared, held and experienced by others.”
Inspired by the natural world—by untouched landscapes and places where nature reclaims the human-built environment—Ryker’s work often reflects a reverence for resilience, form and transformation. He is drawn to the ways these forces take shape and echo through both nature and our shared lives.
At the heart of his work lies a belief that honest conversations, shared emotional experience and personal growth are essential to building stronger, more empathetic communities. His work seeks to create spaces for reflection, connection and transformation.
Whole in the Hollows: This installation explores the quiet act of changing the channel—of tuning out the noise of the external world and turning inward toward personal values, inspiration and clarity. It’s about reclaiming the power to reframe your narrative, to fill your space with authenticity and color and to heal what feels empty or fractured. At its core, it’s a meditation on the human ability to sew the hollows whole—to find healing and transformation through intentional, creative self-renewal.
Shilo De La Cruz - Diamonds in the Rough
Installation inspired by R. Buckminster Fuller’s quoted vision,
“To make the world work for 100% of humanity, in the shortest possible time, through spontaneous cooperation, without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone.”
Diamonds in the Rough aims to highlight the potential of all humanity and to support the idea we CAN build a better future -TOGETHER.
This installation was a joy to create. It consists of new & recycled materials, black light, neon and a series of mixed media paintings titled " Paradoxical Synergy “.
Art is a world of metaphors. What do you see in this installation?
Multimedia artist, Shilo De La Cruz lives and works in rural Thurston County near the mysterious Mima Mounds. She is passionate about humanitarian values and believes a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable future for humanity is still possible.
